Busker pleads not guilty to assault

BUSKER Frank Williams pleaded not guilty to assaulting a man in Winchester and damaging his vehicle.

Mr Williams, 57, pictured, of The Dome in Morestead Road, Bar End, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

He denied assaulting Jonathan Talbot-Weiss, of St Cross Road, Winchester, and damaging his Volvo XC90 after a dispute in Domum Road, Winchester, on Thursday, May 8.

Mr Williams was granted bail and told to reappear at the court for a pre-trial hearing on Thursday, August 21. His trial is scheduled to take place in Basingstoke on Monday, September 1.
