A major bank is to close two branches near Southampton in the latest batch of closures.
The shutters of the Barclays branches in Hedge End and Eastleigh will be pulled down this year.
It comes as Barclays previously announced more than 30 closures in 2023, following in the footsteps of other UK banks, including NatWest.
The Eastleigh branch in Upper Market Street is earmarked for closure on August 11.

In a letter to customers, Barclays said: “We’ll be closing our Eastleigh branch on Friday, August 11 at 12pm.”
“We appreciate this might not be welcome news, but we’ll make sure you and your local community continue to use our banking services when you need them – it’ll just be in a different way.”
The Hedge End branch in Lower Northam Road is reportedly set to shut on August 17.
