SOAP star Jennifer Ellison will join the cast of the Take That musical which returns to the stage in Southampton this autumn.
The actress, singer and dancer, who rose to fame in Brookside and also starred in the film version of The Phantom of the Opera, will play Rachel in Greatest Days, previously known as The Band, and renamed to coincide with the recent release of the official movie version.
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Take That’s first UK number 1 single Pray, Greatest Days features more than 15 hits alongside a heart-warming story from Tim Firth (Calendar Girls).
It follows five childhood best friends, obsessed with their favourite 90s boy band. They reunite decades later hoping to see their heartthrobs one last time.
The three remaining members of Take That, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, famously burst onto stage for the finale when the show premiered at Mayflower Theatre in 2017.
