The M3 has reopened after it was shut for emergency repairs when a lorry collided with the central reservation last night. 

All lanes between junctions 8 and 9 were shut after the incident and remained closed until 7am this morning.

National Highways has confirmed it has been carrying out emergency repair works to the barriers on the M3, as a result of the collision.

A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “We were called at 7.24pm yesterday to a report of a collision between a lorry and the central reservation of the M3 between junctions 8 and 9.

“No injuries were reported.”
