Now is the time to recognise their brilliance by nominating them for the Daily Echo's Hairdresser of the Year competition.

Nominations are now open until February 11.

Last year's winner Laraine Rose said she was thrilled to have been chosen by faithful customers of her Chandler's Ford salon Twelve Hair Design.

She told the Echo: "I was quite flattered that my customers voted for me really, it’s quite amazing. They would come in and tell me they were going to vote for me which was really nice.

"I’m working here in my salon and the postman came and brought me a certificate which was a really surprising part of my day.

"I have always wanted my own salon, that was always my dream but I could never start because it was too expensive so I decided to set up my own salon at home."

We want you to put forward your favourite hairdresser or barber so they can be in with a chance of being awarded the top accolade.

Once all the nominations are in, the Daily Echo will publish the top 10 as chosen by readers.

Voting will then take place from February 26.
