The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

TADIWANASHE JACK, 21, of Castle Street, Southampton pleaded guilty to drink driving and driving without insurance. He was caught with 73 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath whilst driving on Middle Road. Jack was banned from driving for 19 months and received a £120 fine. He was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £48 surcharge. 

ALBERT PHILLIPS, 29, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton admitted theft from a shop after a rucksack worth £89.99 was stolen from TK Maxx. He was fined £40 and must pay £85 court costs. 

EMILY HARRIS, 34, of Austen Close, Totton pleaded guilty to using a phone whilst driving a Vauxhall on the southbound M3 at junction 11 for Winchester. She was fined £175 and received six points on her licence. Harris must also pay £110 court costs and a £70 surcharge.

CONNOR MATTHEWS, 27, of Northam Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage after a post box and a door were damaged belonging to Mya Property Ltd. He also admitted two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker. He was ordered to pay £2,430 compensation and received a six-week prison sentence suspended for six months. 

JAKE AVERY, 21, of Romsey Road, Southampton admitted to three counts of drug driving in Southampton. These offences relate to THC, cocaine and benzoylecgonine that was found to be in his blood whilst behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta on Birch Road. Avery received a community order until September 6, 2024, with 15 rehabilitation days and a 17-month driving ban. He must pay a £120 fine, £85 court costs and a £48 surcharge. 

MICKEY MCKNIGHT, 45, of Abercrombie Gardens, Southampton pleaded guilty to using a phone whilst driving on the northbound M3 between junctions seven and six in a Mercedes. He was near Basingstoke at the time. McKnight was fined £176 and received six points on his licence. He must also pay £110 court costs and a £70 surcharge.
