A Hampshire branch of Nationwide has temporarily closed due to health and safety concerns.

It is unclear when the Nationwide branch in Ringwood, on Market Place, will reopen.

A sign on the storefront reads: “Due to unforeseen health and safety issues, we are temporarily unable to open the branch.

“We are treating this as a high priority and endeavour to get the branch up and running as soon as possible for our members.

“We understand that this may cause an inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and understanding whilst we resolve the matter.

“During this time, your nearest branches will be Fordingbridge, Ferndown, Christchurch or Salisbury.

“We hope to be open as soon as possible, so please keep an eye on our website as this will be updated as soon as we have confirmation of being able to reopen our doors.

“Thank you again for bearing with us during this time.”
