The easiest place to pass your driving test has been revealed.

Statistics released by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has ranked the most successful driving test centres in the country for passes.

Though the data set comes from statistics held by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, it is not classified as an official statistic.

This means that the data is not subject to scrutiny and assessment by the UK Statistics Authority.

The statistics revealed that Basingstoke had the highest pass rate of the five test centres in Hampshire - with a 59.2 per cent pass rate.

Of the 3,349 tests completed between April 2023 and March 2024, there were 1,983 passes, ranking it 53rd out of the UK's 328 test centres.

Meanwhile in Farnborough, 4,530 passes in 7,812 tests saw a pass rate of 58 per cent, enough for 65th on the UK ranking.

Winchester finished fourth on the list, with 2,368 passes out of 4,815 tests.

Its pass rate of 49.2 per cent meant it was the 190th best test centre for passes.

Meanwhile, Southampton Maybush was bottom of the list, ranking just 270th out of 328.

It had a pass rate of just 43.9 per cent after 4,097 passes in 9,339 tests.

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency found that the driving centre with the highest pass rate percentage was Benbecula Island, located in the Outer Hebrides in the Atlantic Ocean, off the west coast of Scotland.

The data revealed that 60.1 per cent of male drivers passed their test during the same period last year, with 56.6 per cent of females also achieving a pass in their test.
