The Rose Road Association Charity Swim is returning to Southampton docks offering a unique sea swimming experience in aid of disabled children and young people.

The event on September 21 invites all levels of swimmers to participate in a one-of-a-kind 1km course set against the striking backdrop of towering ships and super yachts.

It caters for both novice and accomplished swimmers in an entertaining, non-competitive atmosphere.

Those partaking in this once-in-a-lifetime swim will be hitting the water usually closed to swimmers in early September.

Participants can secure the Early Bird rate by registering before May 31.

Sponsored by the Southampton International Boat Show, the event takes place at Harbour Parade with arrivals starting from 8am and the first swim wave beginning at 9am.

Each occupant will receive an organizer's keepsake swimming hat along with complimentary entrance to the boat show following the swim, while spectators will receive a discounted entry at £19.99.

Expert advice is also available from seasoned sea swimmers, including Scott Dawson, renowned for his Isle of Wight swim.

The event goes beyond just swimming. It provides a unique chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of disabled children and young people.

In addition to the registration fee, attendees are invited to donate and fundraise with a goal of raising £5,000. Such contributions, regardless of size, assist Rose Road Association in providing essential services and support, such as cooking lessons and emergency outreach support.
