Westquay Multi-Storey Car Park in Southampton is once again hosting the Multi Stories event.

Arranged by Westquay in collaboration with Southampton Forward, the event will allow visitors to watch on as more than 30 artists, including celebrated local talents such as Slam, Epod, Mr Cenz and Vane MG, create an array of large and small-scale murals representative on May 18 and 19.

In addition to this year's artistic spectacle, there will be a new Maker's Market, offering attendees the opportunity to purchase unique pieces from local businesses and creators.

The event is encouraging new artist participation, providing six spaces to those with an SO postcode. Interested artists should contact event organisers before April 28.

As in the previous year, a section of the car park will be converted into a skate park, giving locals the chance to learn new tricks and experience the thrill of skateboarding with We Skate Southampton.

Skateboarding lessons and breakdancing workshops will be offered, solidifying the event's aim to boost community engagement and creativity. Local creative studio, Paintshop, led by Creative Director Ricky Also, will be curating the artwork and free art workshops.

Last year, Mr Also not only curated but also created the notable 'The World is Yours' mural in association with artists Bonzai and Squirl. The event's diverse musical accompaniment, crossing 60 years of genres, will be provided by Southampton musicians and DJs aligning with the 2024 theme of 'city life'.

The "Multi Stories" event can be found on levels 1, 2 and 3 of Westquay Multi-Storey car park from 12pm to 6pm. The car park will remain open for vehicles throughout the event.
