SAINTS turned down a £40m takeover bid in 2007 - a move which may have cost more than anyone imagined.

The SISU bid was the only formal bid the club has received, despite numerous rumours about potential buyers. However it was turned down and SISU eventually went on to buy Coventry City. In today's Daily Echo, we have four pages about exactly what happened - and what the deal proposed.
