Liam Urry, pictured, 19, of Bluebell Road, admitted two burglaries at Romsey and asked for four others in Chandler’s Ford to be taken into consideration.

Southampton Crown Court was told the property, which included lap top computers, a television, games machines and clothing, was valued at about £3,200 and entry had been gained through insecure doors or windows.

Sending him to a young offenders’ institution for 26 months, Judge Jeremy Burford QC told Urry the burglaries were premeditated and planned.

Urry, who also admitted driving while banned, was also disqualified for six months.

In mitigation, Fern Russell said he had been paid to drive the car from “point A to point B” and burgled the houses to make money.
