Police close A3090 following serious accident

POLICE have closed a Hampshire road after a serious crash on the main route between Ower and Romsey.
Emergency services were called to the A3090 in East Wellow between Ryedown Lane and Gardeners after a collision between two vehicles.
One of the vehicles is believe to have landed on its roof with one person suffering serious injuries.
The route is likely to be closed into the evening and diversions have been put in place.
All traffic heading out of Romsey is diverted down the minor road by Pauncefoot House.
From there, traffic has to use Ryedown Lane, Whinwhistle Road and the A36 Salisbury Road.
