TV cook and countryside campaigner Clarissa Dickson Wright will be a guest at this year’s Hampshire Country Sports Day on September 13.

The event is again being held at Tichborne Park, near Alresford, starting at 9.30am.

It offers a day out for all the family with falconry displays, gundog demonstrations, ferret racing, a parade of hounds, a family fun dog show and the chance to have a go at archery, fishing and clay pigeon shooting.

Other attractions include terrier and lurcher show an Inter-hunt Jump competition and Ladies Side-Saddle display.

There will also be more than 50 trade stands, a rural crafts area and a varied choice of food and drink with a licensed bar.

Admission is £8 for adults and just £1 for children under 16 and the event will be signposted from Alresford.
