PUPILS at Wellow School have been packing Christmas gifts for children in poverty-stricken countries abroad.
Children have filled 120 shoeboxes full of goodies including toothbrushes, pencils, hats, small toys, scarves and other basic items destined for kids in Montenegro, Tanzania and Romania.
The Club of Romsey Test is organising the delivery of the gifts that will bring some festive cheer to many young children whose parents are poor and unable to provide property for their offspring.
Wellow headteacher Tina Daniel said the shoeboxes were part of the Love in a Box appeal run by the East Sussex based Mustard Seed Relief Mission that provides humanitarian aid to refugees, orphans and displaced people.
