THE return of railway jobs will “put the heart back into the local community” claims a Hampshire MP.
Eastleigh Lib Dem Chris Huhne, has welcomed the news Alstom will be bringing work to the engineering depot on the main line at Eastleigh.
Mr Huhne said: “The revival of the Eastleigh works pioneered over the last two years is now continuing apace with the Alstom announcement, and is great news for the town and local jobs. Eastleigh was born as a railway town, and the revival of the works puts the heart back into the local community”.
