£1.75m community centre open for business
A NEW £1.75m community centre has been officially unveiled in Southampton.
Freemantle Community Centre has everything from an internet café to a new stage area for performances.
The centre, in Randolph Street, was launched with a fun day for local residents complete with arts and crafts and exhibitors ranging from Mencap to Shirley Knitwits.
The project was funded by Southampton City Council and the Learning Skills Council.
