FIVE rare turkeys stolen from a Hampshire farm have been found.
The birds were taken from their sheds in Twyford overnight between Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8.
The birds were found alive but abandoned on a bridleway in Oswlebury yesterday.
PC Jon Radcliffe said: “These birds are of great sentimental value to their owner and they are extremely grateful for the assistance they have received and would like to thank those that have helped.
“This sort of theft is more common at this time of year and I would like to continue to urge farmers and owners to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious activity to us.”
Anyone who has any information about the thefts or would like to report any suspicious activity should contact PC Radcliffe at Meon Valley police station in Bishops Waltham on 101.
Alternatively they can email the Central OCU Countrywatch team central.countrywatch@hampshire.pnn.police.uk
