A MOTORIST died when his car ploughed into railings.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident in Stoney Lane, Weeke, Winchester, near the junction of Fromond Road at around 5.40am yesterday.
Police said the motorist was in a silver-coloured vehicle that left the road and collided with some railings.
They said it was unclear if the 70-year-old, who came from Winchester, died from his injuries or a medical issue.
Police closed the road during Monday morning’s rush hour.
