THEIR attempt to set up a drugs factory failed because they ignored the first rule of the property market: location, location, location.

George Triantafyllou and Matthew Deteissier chose a house in a leafy Hampshire village with just 35 homes.

Neighbours soon became suspicious after they blacked out the windows to hide hundreds of cannabis plants inside.

Even worse, the rent was so high they would have made a loss, a court heard.

Winchester Crown Court was told that Triantafyllou and Deteissier rented Apple Tree House in Beauworth, near Winchester, for £5,200 per month.

It also emerged that they rented two other properties in West Sussex, and were still using one of them, which cost £4,500 per month.

Paying nearly £10,000 a month, the court heard that, even if the drugs reached the streets, they would struggle to make a profit.
