HUNDREDS of pounds of electrical equipment and foreign currency has been stolen from a Hampshire home.

Thieves forced their way into the home in Winchester Road, Botley, via a patio door and carried out a thorough search once inside.

They escaped with a Compaq laptop, Wii and PS3 games consoles, an iPod and an Intempo iPod docking station.

The burglars also pocketed £278 worth of Australian dollars and Euros worth £179.

Anyone who is offered the foreign currency or who has any information about the burglary, which happened between 9.30am and 4.30pm on November 11, should contact the Priority Crime Unit at Eastleigh police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
