IF you believe the stereotypes, then they are not usually out of bed until noon, but two dozen students defied their doubters by turning out to help clear litter from several streets in Stanmore, Winchester.
Undergraduates from the University of Winchester took part in the tidy-up as part of an environment week.
Andrew Emmerson, environmental officer for Winchester Students Union, said it was also aimed at improving relations with Stanmore householders.
