ROMSEY is gearing up for Christmas. Festive lights and Christmas trees are going up around the town and preparations are under way for the Winter Carnival on Saturday.
The carnival procession leaves Station Road at 6pm. The parade will make its way towards the Market Place, via Palmerston Street and Bell Street, and at around 6.30pm the Christmas lights will be switched on.
Late night Christmas shopping is on Friday, December 11 between 6pm and 9pm. And there is a Hampshire Farmers’ Market in the town with a festive flavour on Sunday, December 6.
The final big festive event will be carols around the Christmas tree in the Market Place on Monday, December 21.
This event has been organised by Rotarians in the town.
