CARING children at Romsey’s Halterworth Primary School have filled 208 shoeboxes with Christmas goodies aimed a putting smiles on youngsters’ faces in deprived and war-torn areas of the globe.
Halterworth School’s Operation Christmas Child project co-ordinator Sam Donald said the children loved filling the shoeboxes and had put festive messages in them for the recipients.
The international relief charity Samaritan’s Purse is behind the Operation Christmas Child shoebox appeal.
