FOURTEEN people have been injured during a fire at a Hampshire department store.
Shoppers and staff were evacuated from John Lewis in Southampton's WestQuay Shopping Centre for around an hour after the incident in a kitchen.
Paramedics have treated 13 people for smoke inhalation problems, while a woman is also understood to have suffered a fracture after slipping on stairs during the evacuation.
Fire crews were called to the scene shortly after midday, but staff had already managed to extinguish the fire by the time the eight officers from St Mary's had arrived.
It is understood all the injured people work at the flagship department store.
