A SOUTHAMPTON man who went to business parks in Salisbury selling pirate DVDs has been jailed for a year.
Jason Moxham, 40, of Harrison Road, Southampton, was charged with applying a registered trademark without permission from the owner and selling goods bearing a false trademark.
He was arrested in July last year in Salisbury after an anonymous tip off to the police reported someone was selling illegal DVDs in the Old Sarum area.
His car was searched and found to contain numerous DVDs and lists of DVD names, as well as £120 in notes and £30 in coins.
At Salisbury Crown Court he admitted making between £100 and £150 a week selling the DVDs, and said he could burn up to six at a time.
Rachel Spearing, defending, said Moxham was fully cooperative throughout the investigation and pleaded guilty at the first opportunity.
