AROUND 60 people descended on the Southampton Civic Centre for a rally on climate change today.
Speakers from a number of environmental groups and a parliamentary candidate for the green party demanded action from politicians across the globe.
The rally was organised to coincide with the UN Conference meeting in Copenhagen where world leaders aim to thrash out a deal on climate change.
Green part prospective parliamentary candidate Chris Bluemel led the calls at the Southampton Guildhall. Greenpeace Hampshire and Southampton and Portsmouth Friends of the Earth also made speeches.
