Tea party hope to attract more families to worship
Winchester Cathedral is hosting a tea party today to attract more families to worship.
Visitors can move around the cathedral, visiting a variety of creative ‘picnic’ areas to help them in their worship, between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
The ‘picnic’ areas include crafts, IT, reading, playdough, prayer and reflection as well as a host of other family activities. Families can bring a picnic tea with them to enjoy in the surroundings. Organised by the Diocese of Winchester’s discipleship and ministry team, last year this popular event attracted more than 150 people.
