Steve Davis will swap snooker frames for window frames when he spends the day in a Hampshire town.
The snooker legend has been given the new “job” of apprentice window fitter for Fareham home improvement firm KJN.
The six-times World Champion, who also works to promote the national trade body Network VEKA, will train with the company for one day as the prize in a draw among the organisation’s members nationwide.
He will also compere a KJN-sponsored raffle – including items autographed by him – in aid of the Naomi House children’s hospice in Sutton Scotney, near Winchester, and challenge shoppers to a few frames of pool at the Fareham Shopping Mall.
In the afternoon, he will help KJN’s fitters to put in a new window at a customer’s home.
“I like to think I know a bit about winning frames,” said Steve, who will be in Fareham on March 15.
