COMMUNITY spirit was high on Saturday when around 300 people visited the Church Centre in Smannell Road, Andover for the parish of Knights Enham summer fair.

Throughout the afternoon there was an array of activities including workshops by Andover Jugglers, displays from Andover Seal Knot Society, face painting, a bouncy castle and ball pool.

The event, which was organised by Sheila Risk, church organist and Curate Brian Rostill, was aimed at raising money for the running of its two churches and to bring the community together.

More than £850 was raised and will be split between the running of the Church Centre and St Michael's Church in Enham Lane.

Sheila said: "It was a really nice friendly day."
