STOCKBRIDGE Carnival began 22 years ago and, as in previous years, there will be other events before and after the big day on 9 July.
This year the carnival is as engaging as ever with the Queen (Becky Jones), Prince (Sam Dance) and Princess (Grace Forsythe), already chosen and crowned.
The day itself starts with a competition for the best decorated house, pub/hotel and shop.
One of the long-standing organisers, Honor Burnett, said: "We also have a prize for the overall best building, the judging for this will be taking place at 11am sharp on that morning." The procession starts at 1.30pm - and an invite is being sent out to past Stockbridge Carnival queens from the last 20 years to take part. Contact Honor on 01256 355102 for more details.
