IT'S murder in Woolston this weekend as The Dalian Players perform Simon Brett's comedy Murder in Play.
Set in an amateur dramatic society, the production of Murder at Priorswell Manor is not going smoothly.
A bitchy cast are fighting over who is the star of the show, there's an accident with a supposedly blank-firing gun and one cast member is poisoned!
Fellow cast members rally round to find out who the real culprit is as mayhem ensues.
This play within a play is a far cry from life in Dalian Players, assures director Mike Tosdevin.
Mike has been with the group since 1956 when he first tread the boards as a dancing sea scout in a pantomime.
He says: "In the main we're a happy crowd who work well together."
Woolston Methodist Hall, Manor Road North from tonight until Saturday at 7.30pm. Box office: 023 8043 8596
