WINCHESTER will be celebrating the tenth anniversary of its annual cycling festival from this weekend.

A series of cycling events have been arranged to coincide with National Bike Week.

Tomorrow there will be the bike fair, launched by Olympic medallist Rob Hayles, and then a cycle cavalcade around the city centre, expected to attract about 100 cyclists.

The fair in the High Street will feature many exhibitors and displays including a mountain bike stunt display at the Buttercross at noon and 2pm.

The cavalcade leaves from the Broadway at 11am and makes its way to the top of the High Street via St George's Street, then into Cathedral Close, College Street and Wharf Hill.

At 2pm the local cycle touring club hold an easy 15-20 mile afternoon cycle ride in the upper Itchen valley which is open to all. Meet at the Worthy Road car park.
