WINLESS Hursley Park are without three influential players as they bid to halt a four-match losing run against ECB Southern Electric Premier League rivals Bournemouth at The Quarters tomorrow, 11.30am.

The newly-promoted Winchester club have former Hampshire wicketkeeper Adrian Aymes out injured and in-form batsmen Paul Edwards and Chris Wheeler both absent.

Richard Scott, meanwhile, sends his Bournemouth team on a double weekend mission.

He's asking them to step up the pressure in the SPL - and make further progress in the Cockspur Cup national club championship against Havant in the regional semi-final at Chapel Gate on Sunday, 1pm.

"Obviously we'd like to go as far as we can in the Cockspur - perhaps even a Lord's final - but the Premier League is our bread and butter," said skipper Scott.

"We're sixth in the table at the moment, but tomorrow South Wilts are playing Havant, and Bashley (Rydal) have got Portsmouth - so the league could have a different look come close of play."

Bournemouth are once again without Hampshire's Jono Mclean (broken finger) and wicketkeeper Martin Miller (back injury), but Dorset's David Kidner comes back into the frame.

Darren Cowley makes a nostalgic return to The Quarters, where he initially cut his teeth as a promising 12-year old colt.

Defending champions South Wilts are without teenage all-rounder James Hayward against Havant at Lower Bemerton - a match that is arguably the pick of tomorrow's five all-day games.

The pair have produced some stunning finishes in recent seasons, Havant halting an 11-match winning sequence by South Wilts last season.

Havant, already without Paul Gover and Richard Pineo, have been rocked by opener Will Prozesky's decision to return to Premier Division 3 leaders Purbrook.

"We're obviously disappointed to see him go and hope that he's left for the right reasons," said Havant captain Andy Perry.

Leaders BAT Sports have Damien Shirazi back from a thumb injury for the visit to basement boys Liphook & Ripsley, but the left-hander may have difficulty in regaining his opening slot after Archie Norris and Adam Sharp both hit half-centuries against Hursley Park last week. Ironically, off-spinner Rob Franklin also damaged his hand in a midweek university match and needs a late check.

Opening bowler Kevin Nash is a major doubt as Bashley (Rydal) bid to put their Premier Division 1 season back on track against Portsmouth at the BCG, 11.30am.

Nash pulled up lame after bowling 11 balls in last Saturday's crushing seven-wicket defeat by Bournemouth, which bowled Bashley off top spot.

"Kevin injured his hamstring playing in Wiltshire's recent Minor Counties game against Oxfordshire and thought he was fit enough to bowl last Saturday - but wasn't," said Bashley skipper Matt King.

"I don't want a repetition of that tomorrow, so he'll undergo a rigorous fitness test at the ground tonight."

Portsmouth, who have won their last two matches, expect to be without influential Lawrie Prittipaul, set to play for Hampshire against England.

The Hampshire Academy must halt a worrying four-match losing run at Andover if they are not to slip into troubled waters.

County Second XI trio Jimmy Adams, Chris Benham and Kevin Latouf will all need to score runs at London Road if the Academy are to succeed.

Mark Miller, on duty at the Rose Bowl, is absent, but elder brother Roger, the Andover captain, plans to return despite an Achilles injury.

Miller will play as a batsman only.
