Paultons (82 all out) lost to Easton & MW (306 for 2) by 190 runs - rain-reduced target Saturday's match was a cakewalk for Easton, who beat Paultons by a massive margin on the back of a big ton from Scott Smith.

Opening the innings with Dave Birch, Smith quickly got the score moving. Easton had reached 97 by the time they lost Birch, bowled by Tony Richman for 28.

It was a long time before Paultons had any more joy. Shaun Green, batting at no.3, blasted his way to 80 before he fell lbw, also to Richman.

That left Smith (143no) and Murray Heyns (35no) to bat through to the close, Easton reaching a massive 306 for 2 off 48 overs.

Richman's two wickets cost him 65, while the only other bowler to emerge with any measure of respectability was Adrian Denney (0-57 off 12).

In reply Paultons had to chase a rain-reduced target of 272 in 38 overs, but pressed the self-destruct button. The run-out of opener Weaver for 9 with the score on 23 was followed by that of John Robinson for a duck seven runs later.

Touqueer Iqbal was caught off Heyns for 21 to make it 32 for 3.

Andy Collins (9) and Richman (6) took the score on to 56, but once Keith Brewster got into his stride with the ball there was no way back for the hosts. Brewster finished with 4 for 13 and Heyns 2 for 33 as the Paultons tail subsided, only keeper John Harris (10) reaching double figures in an all-out total of 82.
