SCHOOL fete: The Friends of Kingsclere School are having their annual fete on Saturday, June 11, from 2.30pm to 4pm, at the school.
John Caudrey, an ex-pupil turned international circus star, will open the fete and demonstrate stilt walking and juggling.
He will be joined by Beenham Brass Band, a children's magician, Punch and Judy and a professional belly-dancing group (the mind boggles).
There will be a dressing-up competition for children, the theme is clowns, and there will be prizes for the best outfits.
The fete will have lots of stalls and a refreshment tent, and there will be a big raffle with a £250 Dell hand-held computer as first prize.
BINGO: The Fieldgate Centre will be running a weekly bingo night on Tuesdays, at 7pm, starting next week.
