ANTTI NIEMI is committed to doing "what is right for Saints" following Sunday's relegation from the Premiership.
The Finnish goalkeeper is someone who could attract interest from big Premiership clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal, but his agent Richard Cody yesterday stressed that he remains focussed on Saints.
Both Harry Redknapp and Rupert Lowe have said they want to keep the club's best players - most of whom have been hit by a 50 per cent wage cut.
And Cody said: "Antti has enjoyed working with Harry and all the players will obviously be speaking to the manager in the coming weeks.
"But Antti's attitude is very simple. He wants to do what is best for the club."
Niemi, who will be 33 later this month, signed an extension to his contract last summer and has talked of his desire to finish his career with Saints.
He is a firm favourite with supporters, although he can expect to face competition from deputy Paul Smith in forthcoming seasons if both stay at the club.
