ANDOVER mum Victoria Daley is urging people to nominate parents in the Childcare Champion Awards after winning the 2004 awards herself.
Victoria along with friends Joanne Rankin and Marie Hayward were nominated for the award after setting up a care group called Bright Sparks for children with special needs.
The aim of Bright Sparks is to give parents a break during the school holidays and to help working parents.
The awards, run by the national childcare charity Daycare Trust, recognises parents who have campaigned for childcare in their community to improve access to quality affordable services for all families.
The 29-year-old, of Suffolk Road, has two children who suffer from ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and along with other parents she struggled to find childcare that catered for her children's needs.
Victoria said their attention spans are so short that it is difficult to put them in a normal play scheme.
Before Victoria's children were diagnosed she felt alienated at parent groups and blamed herself for her children's behaviour.
