EMPLOYERS from across Hampshire rolled out to recruit at the Daily Echo-backed Job Scene Roadshow yesterday.

More than 20 organisations representing numerous industry sectors offering hundreds of jobs and training opportunities were at the event at Southamp-ton's Guildhall.

P&O Cruises - Carnival UK, Red Funnel, Hampshire NHS and Lloyds TSB National Recruitment Centre, Southamp-ton City College and the Teach-er Training Agency were just some of the many organisations in attendance.

Recruitment agencies were also represented, including Kelly Services, Personnel Sel-ection and Oasis Recruitment Group Ltd.

The free entry extravaganza, also supported by Power FM, offered numerous recruitment, careers, training and education opportunities as well as CV, career and business start-up advice.

Evening opening until 10pm also gave workers the chance to visit after office hours.

Part of a national series of events that takes place across the UK, Job Scene The Roadshow has been running in Southampton since 1999 and has seen hundreds of visitors already take advantage of the seminars and demonstrations.

Free clinics were answering recruitment, career and training queries, while advice and information on funding was also available for those considering becoming their own boss.

Tobias Fielder, of organisers TJW Exhibitions, said: "Job Scene is a totally interactive event.

"It is designed for long-term career planning as well as finding the next rung on the ladder.

"People can find help on the training and education they may need to fulfil their ambitions, or what career would suit their skills best."
