A BABY boy is stuck in Southampton General Hospital - even though doctors have declared him well enough to go home.
Little Euan Burke, pictured left with parents Ellie Noke and Chris Burke, suffers from cardiac and lung problems.
He was born 19 months ago but has hardly ever been out of hospital.
Every day, his parents, who do not have a car, make a five-and-a-half-hour round trip by bus from their home in Fordingbridge to see him.
Although there are no medical reasons why the tot needs to stay in hospital, a 24-hour healthcare team is needed to look after him at home - and one has yet to be found.
A private healthcare firm has launched a recruitment drive to recruit the team of nurses and health support workers that would finally allow Euan to go home.
