SOUTHAMPTON motorcycle road racer John Crockford suffered two retirements in his debut for the Nvidia Yamaha team in the British Superbike Championship meeting at Mondello Park.
Winchester's James Hillier was fifth in the Supersport Cup category aboard the Gearlink Kawasaki.
There was no joy either for New Forest driver Justin Keen in the FIA GT race at Silverstone. He and co-driver Liz Halliday were running top ten until mechanical gremlins put their Lister Storm out of the race won by Aston Martin pair Kox and Lamy.
