FOLOWING his success at the British Junior Triples Championships, Graham Galton, of Southampton City Petanque Club has been picked to join the national junior squad.
He will attend his first junior squad day in Kent, and is hoping to represent England at the Home Nations Championships in Luton this August.
At the British Junior Championships in Suffolk, Southampton - made up of Galton, Ryan Dickson and Robert Padwick - reached the semi-finals.
Southampton 2 - comprising David Plumhoff, Shane King and Michael Padwick - only won their final match, a 13-10 success over an Anglia Aces team who had beaten Southampton 1 during the qualifying rounds.
