Sir.-Regarding the letter from F Sutton (Gazette, March 18), I cannot understand why people living on their own have not changed to the water meter.
A few years ago, we all (35 flats) converted and, from bills of £200-odd, we now pay about £140.
I suggest F Sutton investigates. Also, meters can now be fitted into, for example, an airing cupboard.
