SOUTH East Plan: If you missed the talk at the last parish council meeting, you may be unaware that, as part of the Western Corridor, we are in a sub region which could have the greatest rate of new house building.

If you would like to know more, and have access to the internet, then go to www.southeast-ra.gov.uk/southeast plan/plan/view_plan.html

We will have some copies of an HCC leaflet which was supposed to come to all houses but was sent out with the wrong freebie so missed Kingsclere.

This is available in the library and the parish office and you can also ask to see the parish council's response on behalf of the village by calling Barbara on 298634.

If you feel strongly you should write, but you don't have much time as the closing date is April 15.

ALISON Neil: Her play is a sellout, so your only chance of a ticket is to hope for a return.

FILM Club: I saw the demo of the equipment last week and it really is impressive - including a piece of IMAC film.

Watch this space for an announcement of the first film, which will be free and aimed at recruiting film club members.

For more information, call Susie Allam on 297849.

PHOTO club: Meets at the Village Club on Wednesday, at 7.45pm.

The speaker is Win Voisey, a commercial photographer with the AA, and she will be supported by John Carroll, who will talk about club photography.

As usual it is open to all, but the club would love to see you as a member.

SPRING Show: The Gardening Club show is at the Village Club on Sunday, April 10, from 2.30pm to 4pm.

Why not have a go with three daffodils from your garden?

There are two children's classes - miniature garden in a tray (up to 14 x 8 inches) or a spring posy in a favourite container.

Entries should be submitted on the morning of the show, up to 12.30pm.
