THE Easter Egg Hunt was a special occasion for children at Bright Start Pre-school.

Children went into the hall at Brighton Hill Community Association to search for illustrations of Easter eggs, with spots, stripes and stars, hidden around the hall.

When a child found a picture, it was given to an adult helper. The infant then received a stripe, either pink, orange, blue or red, depending on the colour in the picture.

All children were encouraged and rewarded.

The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, and no special equipment or clothing is needed.

During a tour, I learned to distinguish between exercise equipment including cardiovascular machines, exercise bikes, cross trainers, tread machines, rowing machines, resistance machines and dumb-bells.

One young man I spoke to was a former under-19 World Champion medal-holder for judo.

I also spoke to Sarah and her mother, who attend four times a week and were always smiling.

Another lady I spoke to, Sue, attends three times a week to improve her energy levels and "feelgood" factor.
