SOUTHAMPTON Saints manager Sue Lopez is praying her young team shrug off their Easter lethargy in time for Wednesday's derby against Portsmouth (Fareham Town, 7.30pm).
Too many Saints were in holiday mode yesterday as they were beaten 4-0 at home by Cardiff in the FA Women's Premier League Southern Division.
Skipper Sam Howarth's midsjudgement handed Cardiff a seventh-minute lead which they never looked like losing.
"Most of the girls are at college and school and looked as if they'd just come for a holiday kick-about, but you can't do that against a side like Cardiff who are fourth," said Lopez.
