ANDOVER'S civic budgies can happily sing on - the threat to their future has been removed says Test Valley Borough Council leader Ian Carr.
The Vigo Road aviary had been listed as a potential saving of £7,000 in budget options put before councillors but their future is now secure.
"The budgies are in the budget," said Mr Carr.
"I never agreed with the idea of getting rid of them in the first place.
"They are a good asset in Vigo Road."
