THIS bumper cheque is winging its way to Cancer Research UK thanks to the fundraising efforts of Eastleigh College.
Staff and students staged various events during the year, including a quiz evening, a sponsored swim, a wine-tasting evening and a dress up/dress down day.
Cancer Research community fundraiser Hazel Bedford is pictured being presented with the cheque for £3,125 by Eastleigh College finance director Rob Jarvis and a group of sports studies students.
Hazel said: "This is fantastic. Hampshire raises more money than any other county outside London in the UK.
"Last year we raised more than £700,000 in Hampshire alone and this is a wonderful contribution."
