FORMER Saints boss Lawrie McMenemy and Miss Southampton Emily Roberts were among the stars who joined shoppers in Southampton's Bedford Place for its annual Christmas lights switch-on.
Southampton boy band 4Tune - who reached the final stages of ITV's talent show The X Factor - were also on hand at the festivities, which raised money for Wessex Cancer Trust.
Mince pies and free chocolate were handed out to shoppers during the celebrations. Bedford Place was closed to traffic for two hours as shoppers admired the light show and took the chance to look around specialist stores for special festive gifts.
