EVER had that feeling that it's just not your day?

Millionaire businessman Frank Mountain has.

Eager to show off his rare £600,000 Ferrari, he tossed the keys to a colleague and asked him to take them for a spin.

But Mr Mountain could only watch in horror from the passenger seat as his pride and joy was involved in a crash with a Wilts & Dorset bus seconds after heading out of the drive of his Hampshire mansion.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the red Ferrari Enzo - one of only 22 in the UK - went on to collide with an oncoming Volkswagen Golf.

The two collisions ripped a hole in the driver's side of the Ferrari. The six-litre car, which boasts a top speed of 217mph, was taken away by a Ferrari dealer.

It is estimated the accident will leave New Forest land agent Mr Mountain with a five-figure repair bill.

PC Kirsten Trowman, of Hampshire police, said the accident happened on a narrow road in Burley where there was little room for vehicles to pass each other.

She said: "Both vehicles are wide and were near the centre white line."

No one was injured in the accident.

Mr Mountain was going to a nearby race track where his Ferrari and a Maserati he owns were to be test driven.
